Introduction to Acupuncture now open!

CIVT is thrilled to announce a new course, Introduction to Veterinary Acupuncture. Open to veterinarians and vet students, this short online course is designed to give you a solid understanding of acupuncture fundamentals. At the conclusion of this six-week course you will be able to perform some basic local point acupuncture on your patients for common painful conditions.

We are now taking enrollments. This course is on demand, meaning you can enroll and start studying any time you like!

Available exclusively to CIVT members, JIVT is the first international veterinary publication addressing evidence based natural medicine for animals, and publishes material on all aspects of integrative veterinary therapies.

CIVT Principal receives Educator of the Year Award

CIVT Principal Dr Barbara Fougere is the proud recipient of the AHVMA Educator of the Year Award, which she received at the recent AHVMA annual conference in San Diego. An award recognizing outstanding achievement in continuing education in holistic medicine for veterinarians, this is the second year running that a CIVT's Faculty member has taken the stage to receive the honor.
In 2010, CIVT co-founder Dr Steven Marsden was named Educator of the Year Award, while Dr Fougere won the 2010 award for AHVMA Practitioner of the Year.

An intrepid group of veterinary acupuncturists, their spouses and one brave teenager journeyed with CIVT Faculty member Steve Marsden and his family to Southern China in April, spending the better part of a week steeped in the traditions of classical Chinese medicine, as interpreted by one of China’s most noted scholars and physicians, Dr. Liu Li Hong.
