Dr Gary Richter Presents a New Live Webinar - 'Western Herbs and Mushrooms for the Veterinary Cancer Patient'

Taking an integrative approach to cancer care is the best pathway to increased quality and quantity of life.  In this presentation, participants will learn the similarities and differences between the mechanisms of action of conventional cancer therapy and Western herbs and mushrooms. Dr Richter will discuss three of the most effective and widely utilized herbs to treat and support canine and feline cancer patients.  In addition, a variety of mushrooms will be discussed with regards to their specific anti-cancer properties.  Two commonly encountered herbal combination formulas for cancer will also be evaluated.  With an understanding of the usefulness of Western herbs and mushrooms for cancer, an integrative approach to cancer therapy will be outlined.

Presented by Dr Gary Richter  M.S., D.V.M., Grad Dip VWHM C.V.C., C.V.A. 

Dr Richter is a graduate of the University of Florida with a B.S. in animal science, an M.S. in veterinary medical science, and a doctorate of veterinary medicine with honors. Since 2002, he has been the owner and medical director of Montclair Veterinary Hospital in Oakland, California,and he launched Holistic Veterinary Care in 2009. Dr. Richter is certified in veterinary acupuncture as well as veterinary chiropractic and uses these therapies along with his veterinary medical education to achieve better outcomes for his patients. Dr. Richter and his two animal hospitals have received more than 30 local and national awards, including Best Veterinary Hospital, Best Veterinarian, Best Canine Therapy Facility and Best Alternative Medicine Provider.
